Free vs Pro

OUMTA is one piece of software.

You can use it completely for free.
And you can unlock additional features.

Both are built on the same idea:
a click-based system that provides orientation in structured songs.

The difference between Free and Pro is not conceptual —
it’s practical.

What Free can do (and why it’s enough for many)

Section titled “What Free can do (and why it’s enough for many)”

With the Free version, you can:

  • structure songs into blocks
  • build simple and moderate arrangements
  • play with a reliable click track
  • fully use the Player and the Block Editor

For many musicians — especially with manageable songs and rehearsals —
this is more than sufficient.

Free is not a demo.
It’s OUMTA in its original idea —
the core everything else was built on.

Pro becomes relevant
when OUMTA is used regularly.

Once you notice that you:

  • edit a lot
  • jump between sections frequently
  • rehearse under time pressure
  • play live with a click
  • want workflows to be faster and more reliable

additional flow starts to matter.

Pro unlocks features that shorten and stabilize workflows:

  • extensive keyboard control
  • support for external control devices
    (Stream Deck, triggers, MIDI …)
  • faster input without detours
  • more flexible block behavior
  • better overview in dense or fast songs
  • fewer manual steps, fewer interruptions

Pro doesn’t change what you can do with OUMTA.
It feels more like more power under the hood.

The difference rarely comes down to a single option.

It shows in the fact that you:

  • click less
  • get interrupted less often
  • rely on presets
  • can put the mouse down more often

The additional features in Pro exist
to shorten processes and remove friction.

OUMTA stays the same.
The path becomes smoother.

Pro is especially worth it when:

  • songs become more complex
  • setlists grow or change frequently
  • rehearsal time is tight
  • OUMTA is used live
  • setup work needs to be reduced further

When OUMTA becomes part of your regular workflow,
Pro is designed exactly for that.

Free and Pro are not separate apps.

You use:

  • the same interface
  • the same concepts

You simply unlock tools
that take work off your plate.

If you’re unsure: start with Free.
If you want everything to feel faster and more direct,
that’s exactly why Pro exists.
